Fletcher hails Gus Poyet for their performance

Steven Fletcher, the Sunderland striker, has insisted that the team have a good opportunity of surviving in English Premier League given the fact that now they are united under Gus Poyet. The Scotland player reckons that the only way is up as Gus has fixed them out a way of playing out of problems, before their position in the league became desperate.

This weekend, Sunderland confronts a crucial bottom of the table battle at 4th bottom Stoke City, where a victory would put them level on points with the team of Mark Hughes.

Sunderland has won the last three home matches and that even includes one against Manchester City. Now Steven is expecting that the new style of the Black Cats would gel on their travels.

Steven Fletcher told that there are so many points to play for and they have several matches. They have a great scope with the new gaffer and the new staff he has brought in. They are in attempt to alter the way they are playing and that is for the better. He added that the manager could get things going in the proper direction. In the Manchester City match, they were ready to give a tough fight and they won.

One has to take each game as it comes. They are not ready to put themselves under too much pressure. Steven Fletcher said that it has been great for him under the new manager and he is very grateful to him.
