Newcastle whisk awayLiverpool player to the annoyance of Sunderland

 

Newcastle United has signed Liverpool youngster Niall Brookwell who was the target of Sunderland. The player has decided to join the club after strong interests from other clubs. He developed his performance at the youth academy of Liverpool under the guidance of Steven Gerrard. The player has signed two years deal with Newcastle United and he will be deployed into the under 23 ranks of the club.


Brookwell joined the club at a young age of nine where he played under 9 and later he climbed up the boards to the under 18 squad. The player has been coached under the Liverpool star Steven Gerrard who had a great appreciation for the young player. In the under 19 Premier League he has appeared in nine games scoring two goals and three assists.

Steven Gerrard who had brought the player under 18 when he was 15 has said that the player doesn’trealise of his true potential. He has the will to win and the passion for the game. The under 18 coach of Liverpool has said that the player is working hard and is pleased with the assist and the goal. But he has got into the box more and be more involved with the game inside the box.

The player has been the target of Sunderland as they were looking forward to strengtheningtheirs under 23 team. The academy chief was interested in bringing him to the club. But Newcastle has grabbed the opportunity to sign the player. McNamee was looking forward to improvingtheirs under 23 team who has been stalling behind.

Besides these clubs,he had interest from Burnley and Crystal Palace too. He has been well appreciated for his game but later he has faced a serious of injuries whichhave kept him stalling behind his game.
